Finding Factors and Multiples of Numbers
Being able to break down numbers will help you in many types of GMAT problems. Reducing fractions, finding common denominators (for the addition of fractions), and finding the greatest common factor of two numbers are just a few.
  Term: Factor
Explain: A positive integer that is divisible evenly with a number, leaving no remainder.
  Term: Multiple
Explain: When you multiply an integer by another integer the result is a multiple of both integers.

(2, 4)

2 x 4 = 8

8 is a multiple of both 2 and 4.
